Through LendGR, I had the opportunity to help Bill Nichol, a passionate perfumer, create a new business name and design a new brand look that aligned with his vision of the business.
Client: GVSU Teach-In Committee (Volunteer)
Designer Note: The colorful, intercepting lines are vestigial motifs that I decided to keep when I inherited the teach-in brand. The lines, I thought, conveyed the intersectional topics that teach-in sessions cover. I doubled down on the colors of the lines in the brand look and added organic lines and shapes throughout the brand to represent the organic discussions that can occur during teach-in sessions.

Client: RB Marine Services (LendGR Pro Bono Consulting)
Designer Note: Bryon and Rock had just launched their business when they were assigned to be my clients. They were also completely foreign to digital marketing. They did, however, know they had to create a social media platform for their business to (1) make it easier for their clients to contact them and (2) get the word out about their business. I focused the project on giving the clients foundational knowledge about social media management and giving them some content to kickstart their platforms.
To honor the client's love of Lake Michigan, the brand uses blue and gold-hued images in the background. To help their social media posts stand out in the sea of squares, I added a rhombus motif to their brand. It proved easy to replicate for novice Canva users like Bryon and Rock after a quick show-and-tell over Zoom.
A couple weeks after their social media platform launched, the clients happily reported that they were able to get 150+ followers.

Client: bundeZe and Bandit Wallet (LendGR Pro Bono Consulting)
Designer Note: When I got assigned to this project, I was shocked to find that the client needed help with not one, but two product lines! My goal throughout the project was to differentiate the two products as much as possible as the client requested. With bundeZe, I went with brighter colors and fun visuals to highlight the product's versatility. With Bandit, I went with an edgy, clean, and bold look to match the sharpness of the multi-tool wallet. One client, two products, 30 hours— it was a thrilling challenge.
